We all have felt a little bit of anxiety in our lives. But for some individuals this feeling becomes a daily struggle. For many, the thought of being anxious or stressed causes more stress! It’s a vicious cycle that needs to be broken somehow.

Anxiety can be a feeling of worry that something bad will happen to you. It could simply refer to the physical feelings associated with fear. It’s often hard to know if your anxiety is normal and what you should do about it. Especially when every person has a different experience with anxiety.

We all know that feeling of sitting in the backseat of a car on a long drive. Sitting through an excruciating meeting. You’re squirming in your seat and your mind starts racing with thoughts about what you have to do later. If you forgot anything at home, how much longer until it’s over? Hey, You’re not alone in feeling this way. An estimated one-third of people are affected by anxiety. And it’s a normal human emotion that can lead to other problems if left unchecked.

Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is an anxiety disorder characterized by excessive worry and irrational fear in the absence of any objective reason for concern. They might also experience physical symptoms, such as headaches or nausea, because of their worrying.

A Few Simple Fixes

There are many treatments available like therapy or medication. But, sometimes there are quick fixes you can do at home too! Here are some common herbs and tools that have been shown in research studies to reduce symptoms:

Next is my quick go to favorite and that is Lemongrass Fan. This quick remedy helps you to breath so that we can calm the panic. It is important to breath when having an anxiety attack. But it isn’t always easy. A little sprinkle of lemon grass on a hand held fan does the trick every time. Lemon grass helps to relieve stressors. Since the smell is so pleasant you won’t find it as hard to breath. Decluttering your thoughts by writing things down and getting them out of your head will help. If you find it hard to write them. Then try voice noted instead.
