Thirty-One Day of Thanks

Happy New Year 2014

I can always think of a few things I wish I had or could change about my life, my self, etc. But when I consider the things God has protected me from, places He has brought me out of, people He has removed from my life and others He has strategically placed in it, all I can do is lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help and my strength, and say “Thank you wise and gracious Father for taking me through 2013!”

And although I was knocked down a few times, I was never knocked out! I simply gained a few scars and learned some valuable lessons for the future. So, no matter where you are at the moment, there is always something to be thankful for. Perhaps it’s the air you breathe, a healthy heart that pumps blood, and freedom to make smart or stupid choices. Maybe it’s a home and not homelessness, or a loving and supportive mate instead of a domineering or abusive one. Therefore, if you are alive, you can choose to start over and God will meet you right where you are. Leave the baggage behind and step into the New Year knowing that you are being loved, guided and cared for by the One who knows all there is to know about you.

January is National Thank You Month. In all things give thanks and be blessed.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

  1. Timely and very much needed message. In the transition from one year to another, the tendency is to focus on goals not accomplished or aspects of our lives that we’re still unhappy with. This serves as a reminder of just how much there is to be thankful for. The start of a new year provides an open road to continued growth and an opportunity to continue building on what has already been accomplished. This should be the focus. I am so thankful for everything He has provided and my heart is open to the additional blessings yet to come. 2014 WILL be a fabulous and blessed year!!
