2011 is coming to an end, and while many people are celebrating the holidays with gifts, parties, friends, and family get-togethers, some are alone, and others are burdened by the realities of dealing with unemployment, illness, loss, brokenness, and grief. These concerns of life can cause us to forget God’s faithfulness in the past.
Even as I am writing this, I am dealing with my own challenges. I know the progresses and setbacks are all a part of the journey. I know loneliness is magnified during the holidays. But I encourage you do not lose heart. Make peace with the past and embrace the New Year with gratitude for all the wonderful possibilities it holds.
Reflecting on God’s faithfulness in the past brings hope for 2012!
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
